This Privacy Policy describes how FYAW(“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the FYAW mobile application (“the App”).
FYAW is a self-search tool — it searches for your own face online. It is not designed or permitted to search for any other person.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679, including its provisions on special category data under Article 9.
Account data: Your email address and a unique user identifier (UID) provided when you sign in with Google.
Subscription status: Whether you have an active subscription, managed via Google Play Billing.
Face data (transient): Photos you submit for face scan are transmitted to our servers solely to perform the search. They are processed transiently in memory and are never written to persistent storage.
Face photos: Used exclusively to perform the reverse face search you initiated. Discarded immediately after the search completes.
Account data: Used to authenticate you and manage your subscription access.
We do not use your data for advertising, do not sell your data to third parties, and do not build profiles for marketing purposes.
Processing facial images — even transiently — qualifies as processing biometric data under GDPR Article 4(14) and Article 9. We rely on explicit consent pursuant to Article 9(2)(a) GDPR.
Before any face scan is performed, the App presents a clear consent screen. You must affirmatively confirm consent before proceeding. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account within the App.
Face photos: Never written to persistent storage. Processed in memory to perform the search, then discarded immediately.
Search results:Delivered directly to your device and stored only in your phone’s local storage, under your full control.
Account data (email, UID): Retained until account deletion.
Payment records: Retained for the period required by applicable financial regulations, managed by Google Play Billing.

Data shared: Subscription status. Full payment details are handled by Google and never stored in our systems.

Right of access (Art. 15): Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification (Art. 16): Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
Right to erasure (Art. 17): Request deletion of your personal data. You can exercise this instantly by deleting your account within the App.
Right to restriction (Art. 18): Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
Right to data portability (Art. 20): Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object (Art. 21): Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3)): Withdraw your consent for biometric data processing at any time.

The App is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
